the Christian community. I view college as a very holistic experience, and as I am being challenged and grown academically, I have also found myself to be surrounded by people that challenge and grow me spiritually. There are many opportunities to build deep and genuine friendships. The size of the campus is also perfect. I feel like I'm still meeting new people every week, but the campus is also small enough that if I meet someone, I will keep seeing them around and it is easy to maintain that connection. GCC has such a friendly and connected campus community.
be a teacher. I decided I wanted to be a teacher when I was six years old and unlike most people never grew out of that desire. I love the idea of being able to instruct and positively influence the people of the next generation.
that there is no wrong choice. Every college has its perks and every college has its downsides, and it'll be that way all four years. At the end of the day, I just needed to pick a college and pursue the Lord and His will for my life at that college. For me, I could do that best and GCC, and as long as I am seeking the Lord in everything I do here, this is the right choice.
grab meals, study together, have game nights, watch movies, and do things outside like pickleball and spikeball.
