Jesse B.

Receptionist and Tour Guide at Grove City College

Class of 2021

Hometown: Independence, OH

Major: Middle Level Math/History Education

When I was looking for a college, I wish I had been told...

to focus more on the atmosphere you're looking for, and place slightly less emphasis on the major I had in mind at the time. In my case, I changed majors halfway through my freshman year to something in a completely different department. Because of this academic change, I was so grateful I was surrounded by supportive, caring people and hadn't put all of my focus on finding a college that had my (initial) major.

My favorite thing about Grove City College is...

the friends I've made- easy. After only one year at Grove City, I felt closer and more genuinely in relationship with the friends I've made here as opposed to friends I've had back home since kindergarten. The connections I've made with hall mates, class mates, and even professors has made a significant positive difference in my college experience.

After college, I want to...

teach middle school, using the tools and skills that have been strengthened at GCC. I also look forward to traveling with friends, becoming active in my church's youth ministry, and enjoying time with my family.

My friends and I like to...

get food (and coffee) together, meet in dorms to play games, go to the movies, and walk around exploring nearby hiking and nature areas in Grove City.

I'm passionate about...

Friends and Family Music

I'm involved with...
