the friends I've made- easy. After only one year at Grove City, I felt closer and more genuinely in relationship with the friends I've made here as opposed to friends I've had back home since kindergarten. The connections I've made with hallmates, classmates, and even professors have made a significant positive difference in my college experience.
to focus more on the atmosphere you're looking for, and place slightly less emphasis on the major I had in mind at the time. In my case, I changed majors halfway through my freshman year to something in a completely different department. Because of this academic change, I was so grateful I was surrounded by supportive, caring people and hadn't put all of my focus on finding a college that had my (initial) major.
