that you can tell a lot about a college by the social atmosphere in its cafeteria. During my college search, I found that cafeterias where people sat alone and attached to their phones during meals were not particularly inviting communities. Rather, I looked for cafeterias where people sat in groups and conversed over meals. One of my favorite things about GCC is that I can always find someone to sit with and talk to during meals. These conversations always brighten my day and refresh me for the next round of classes.

how easy it is to connect with people. GCC provides innumerable opportunities for students to get involved and connect with their fellow scholars. From week one of my freshman year, I was surrounded by the safe, kind, and passionate community of GCC. When everyone on campus is open and welcoming, it is impossible not to make friends. It was easy for me to become involved with the things I am passionate about and become a part of the caring community that is Grove City College.
