When I was looking for a college, I wish I had been told how important community is. While it is obviously important to pursue a degree, I have been more shaped by relationships than anything else in my college experience, both with professors and students. If I had gone to a college purely for its amenities or programs, I would be missing out on an essential aspect.
My favorite thing about Grove City College is the relationships the professors have with their students. I have grown so much as a person from the conversations I have had with professors. They seek to push me to wrestle through the great questions we face in the modern world while also seeing me as person and sister in Christ.
After college, I know I want to do something with teach, although I do not know exactly what I want that to look like yet. I am very interested in teaching high school literature or Bible at a classical Christian school. I am also interested in helping to run a school's theater program. I am also interested in continuing my education and becoming a professor.
My friends and I like to do a variety of things. We love sitting by the firepit on Lincoln patio and having conversations late into the night. We also like watching movies in our dorms, playing games, having karaoke nights, going to Collage (a coffee shop down the street), and going for walks on and around our beautiful campus.
