Earn a PhD in History, with a primary specialization in US diplomatic and political history post-1877, and secondary and tertiary specializations in Russian and Middle Eastern History. After spending some time teaching, researching and writing as a professor at the university level, I hope to move into foreign policy, most likely in an advisory role.
